1) @ewarren bends the knee and apologizes for slurring Natives with her dog-and-pony show. Now, she deserves to take some flak for this anyways, because what she did going so far as to take a DNA test is far more egregiously stupid than it appears

2) First off, and here's the hot take you assholes probably don't see coming:

Her initial story is actually believable.

3) The initial story is that her grandmother or what have you was a Native who could pass as white, and during a period of extreme racism towards Natives she like MANY other Natives abandoned basically anything 'Native' about them they could in order to integrate into the US.

4) This meant that, after the anti-Native sentiments cooled off, there were often no more than stories and maybe a few old as shit pictures to go off of to pass down their true heritage to children and grandchildren.

5) "But wait, pass as white?" Yeah. See, there were plenty who could do this for the same damn reason that DNA tests to determine native ancestry are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine

6) See, here's the bit about native history people often aren't taught:

Native tribes took in people from the colonies and the foundling United States all the time. Escaped slaves, runaway convicts, frontier families, basically anyone that could fit in with them.

7) So thorough was this immigration into the tribes, that there are Native tribes today who are essentially indistinguishable from Caucasian or African Americans.

8) That's why her story is believable, strictly in terms of why the lack of evidence. There wouldn't BE DNA evidence that was conclusive, and oftentimes determining tribal heritage is a game of matching up faces in photos and trying to find tribal records of a deceased relative.

9) But, this is where it gets infuriating. See, Elizabeth Warren doesn't see such things as heritage or lineage. No. She's an identitarian. She's one of the champions of identity politics.

10) She sees her proclaimed heritage from the Cherokee Nation as a fucking CHECKBOX for victim-hood status. She saw it as a way to mark herself as more 'diverse' than others

11) The proof of this is that she took the fucking DNA test in the first goddamn place. Was Trump probably being a little crass about challenging her to take the test in the first place? Yeah. But then, Trump is the master of baiting other people into stupid as fuck decisions.

12) Elizabeth Warren could have easily countered with, "Well, Donald, you ignorant slob, if you knew anything about Native history, you'd know that due to the Native American tribes willingness to take in anyone no matter their race or nationality, DNA tests are worthless!"

13) Boom. Double whammy. I'm better at arguing for liberals than liberals are. She could have EASILY, EASILY turned that around into a textbook 'open borders' argument while still avoiding the embarrassment of the 1/1024th incident, and even backed off her claims saving face

14) "Oh, Donald, you ignorant slob, because our nation was so prejudiced against the Natives, my grandmother has to destroy her own native culture along with so many other people seeking acceptance, leaving our Native reservations in the dilapidated states they're in."

15) If Elizabeth Warren was smart, she could have EASILY won this argument, EASILY. Possibly easily enough that she could have actually come out as a stronger front runner in the Dem primaries with issues OTHER than abortion/high taxes/other such socialist horrors to campaign on

16) I mean, she'd have been the ONLY Dem to have beaten Trump in one of his ambushes.

Instead, she was an idiot, and revealing that she had ZERO knowledge of the fucking travesty she was performing, she tried to take a test and wave around the 1/1024ths result as a 'win'

17) And the rest of the clapping seal liberals went barking right along with her.

Because they're all that fucking stupid and ignorant about what the fuck they're talking about.

18) Because identity politics has NEVER been about heritage. Its NEVER been about pride in your family or your lineage. It has ALWAYS been about how many points you can score over someone else.

19) To be a liberal, to be a liberal identitarian, to engage in identity politics is the act of hating yourself, debasing and destroying and loathing yourself so deeply, that the only value in yourself you can find is the skin-deep traits that you can use to claim you're better.

20) My only conclusion I can draw from this tepid apology from Elizabeth Warren and the boneheaded dumbassery and self-loathing that drove her to take a worthless DNA test in the first place is that she was dead set on proving she's 1/1024th a rational human fucking being.
