What if billionaires are self made because the spectrum traits of white collar psychopathy allow for successful, conscience defective, predatory exploitation rather than success achieved solely through business acumen and entrepreneurship?
The traits of psychopathy which exist on a spectrum/continuum:

• grandiose
• confident, self-assured
• entitled

• lack of guilt or remorse

The problem with our society is we glamorize multi-millionaires and billionaires associating only positive attributes like intelligence, talent, mastery, motivation, hard work, creativity, innovativeness, entrepreneurship, and perseverance.
It’s more likely these positive traits exist in concert with psychopathic traits that allow for optimal exploitation and predation on unregulated or poorly regulated profit opportunities, where detection of wrongdoing is poor and penalties are inconsequential.
The assumption that billionaires with unlimited money and power have the personality traits to lead and govern a democratic republic with integrity & competency is faulty. Most should be considered defective in the conscience, humanity, & compassion to care for the greater good.
These billionaires want the power of government to protect their empires from taxes and regulations, and to ensure unfettered capitalism to promote their predatory and exploitive behavior. Thank Donald Trump & #MeToo for bringing these “successful” psychopaths to the forefront.

Beware the billionaire POTUS candidate who presents with questionable intentions, narcissistic attitudes, and vague and malleable policies, who then paints himself as the victim of unfair treatment when he is rightfully criticized.
