Thread: These last 2 years have been terrible, but right now, I think I'm the angriest I have ever been.

The Title IX office cleared Larry, told Amanda she "didn't understand the nuanced difference" between a medical exam and sexual assault (because that's a common problem, right?)
.@amandathomashow was given an incomplete report, and she said key details she'd told investigators were missing. Specifically:
1 - She told them Larry tried to penetrate her
2 - That she thought he had an erection

When I came forward, @amandathomashow came right back for me, willing to do it all over again, to stop a predator. She said again, that they left key details out of her report.
MSU PD and Title IX offices said she was wrong.

MSU PD detective Val O'Brien and the Title IX office said Amanda never told them those things. They said she didn't remember, that she hadn't communicated clearly. Some insinuated she was being dishonest about having reported those details.
For the last 2 yrs, Amanda's memory and clarity have been under attack. But @AlexandraIlitch found the handwritten notes from the Title IX investigation, which was done alongside the police. And guess what?
Amanda was right.

The handwritten notes show that Amanda reported exactly what she said she reported. The investigators didn't put those details in the report. And then they lied about it. They attacked her. They gaslight her. Knowing the entire time she was telling the truth. That's vile.
And MSU - the detective and investigators and attorneys that saw her report - guess what? Amanda's not alone anymore. I stand with her. ALL of us stand with her.
