She’s right, Justin Fairfax is an eloquent person and would make a good Governor.
The problem is how she described it. Him being an African American is extraneous information.

I’m sure this was unintentional, but we have to look at the way we think about things if we want to grow on a personal level.

It should be no different for Lt. Gov. Fairfax, or any other black person.
Compliments do not need racial qualifiers. It makes it sound like you’re describing them as the exception rather than the rule.
