The carbon tax made me stop using my clothes dryer. I now rack dry, and my clothes don’t wear out as fast. The #carbontax is helping me save money!
Because of the #carbontax I think more about where things come from. That makes me look for more local product & support Alberta producers.
Because of the #carbontax I now walk more to local shops and support our local economy. Less Bug Box & more #ShopLocal
Because of #carbontax I walk more and know more of my neighbours and shop keepers. I feel more part of my community #communitybuilding.
Because of #carbontax I only warm up my car the recommended 30 seconds. I just leave my gloves on a bit longer. Saving me money & extending the life of my vehicle. Shivering is exorcise, right?
Despite the #carbontax I still take long hot showers. Paying more helps me enjoy the #welfindulgence all the more.
Rather than complain about the #carbontax & blame others, take control! It doesn’t have to just be a cost. I have derived savings & a better community because of it. It has made me think about things beyond #climatechange. The positive has far outweighed the negative. #ableg.
Apparently shivering burn calories and demons.
Seriously, let’s all take control. TROC thinks we are a bunch of complainers when we don’t get our way. Blaming others, threatening to separate, attacking Ottawa, hating Trudeau is not taking control, it is playing the victim.
Let’s stop pretending that we are victims. That position is completely untenable giving our economy leading the country, our avg wage leading the country, our growth leading the country. Despite our challenges, we are still th economic envy of the country.
#climatechange is real, and it doesn’t really matter if you believe in it or not. A #carbontax is a market tool to respond to that. A carbon tax is the most conservative response possible to lower GHG emissions #ableg
Let’s not buy in to those who play on us making us feel like victims. The anti #carbontax rhetoric not only is wrong but it reinforces the rest of Canada thinking we are whiners who are never happy. #ableg
That is not who I am, that is not who we are. We see a challenge and we rise to it. We look forward to our place in the future, as leaders in our country. #ableg
So don’t try to sell us a bill of goods that is based on going back to the “good old days” (they are never as good we we like to imagine). Don’t tells us all the things you will stop, you will fight against, and all that is wrong. #ableg
Show us a vision, show us a path forward. Albertans can and do rise to the challenge. #climatechange is that challenge. If you don’t have a plan on making sure Alberta is still a leader in our changing world, then sit down and get the hell out of the way. #ableg
