What is the most physical pain you've ever felt? Not necessarily the most gruesome injury but the cause of the most acute, intense pain you've experienced?
No kidding, like half of these are either kidney stones or childbirth. Both sound awful.
My worst ever: when I was 12, I got my foot caught in lawnmower. It was a bizarre accident. I was pushing the mower forward over a rough patch with my foot (in a mountain boot, thank god) and there was a weird slip of the grass and under it went.
The blade chopped through the toe of the boot and into my bit toe, leaving a hairline fracture. I am lucky beyond belief, obviously, but it didn't feel that way. Just the same sharp pain for three hours while I waited in the emergency room. Awful night.
Emphasis: I was not a kid who fucked around. You would not see me goofing off while pushing a mower, which made it all the more embarrassing at the time. Four grown men--FOUR--came over to give me advice on pushing a mower when they heard what happened. Kind but annoying.
