It's becoming crystal clear that political parties need to establish a central Ombudsman's office to address concerns of those who have been subject to sexual or domestic violence or harassment at the hands of party officials, or candidates/elected/appointed govt officials....
Because local parties know their candidates better than they know the accusers, they tend to overlook or not know how to address these issues in a professional, thorough, bias-free fashion.

Your party is your brand. Think of it as a central HR/oppo team.
Unless you're a corrupt organization, it's in the interest of a party to weed out untouchable candidates BEFORE they run.

And NEVER to allow someone with outstanding accusations to run for a position of power over the lives of those making the accusations.
