I sometimes wonder what's the optimal way to deal with psychotic views: should we respond to it (thereby signal boosting it) or ignore, trusting that pple would dismiss it?

The latter results in a lower signal so I'm torn. But thanks to @CathyYoung63... huffingtonpost.com/entry/unlearni…
"Just another" Asian Female/White Male couple. So her beef is really that it is TOO TYPICAL for interracial relationships. In other words, she wants to be special & unique.

And yes, newsflash, you CAN actually date & love whoever you want without caring about what people think.
So the more Asian F/White M couples, the more Asian fetish is perpetuated?

How come it only works one way? Why isn't it seen as a White Male fetish on the part of Asian females?
When white people keep to themselves, they're not being inclusive.

When they embrace pluralism & xenophilia by exploring and trying to learn about other cultures, somehow that also has racist undertones?!

Shouldn't this be encouraged, amongst all ethnic groups & cultures?
Here, she has inadvertently stumbled upon the solution to her existential crisis.

She wishes that she's seen as an individual & not as a piece of something. Maybe try to see your own RELATIONSHIP as an individual relationship & not as a piece of the Asian F/White M collective?
Ah so here's the catch-22.

If he insofar as thought about her race, he has an Asian fetish.

If he never thought about her race, he has the luxury of white privilege.

Poor guy can't win!
You think she has a problem dating say, a Japanese or Arab guy?

Because hate to break it to you lady, but whites do not have a monopoly on violence and colonization globally. I know, it's hard for intersectional minds to handle historical facts.
Is she saying all Asians look alike?!?!?! (Truest statement of her essay though)

But then if someone not Asian said it, you bet she'd be up in arms about it!

Plus ever ask the white guy how it feels for him to be one in a long line of other white guys who also look alike?!
"I wouldn't want us to be anything else."

I hope so, for this shame you feel is entirely self-inflicted. And for no good reason.

I hope you can surmount it, the crippling insecurity, heightened sense of victimhood, and an unhealthy obsession with race.
