Brexit twitter sleuths. This is a new unredacted "official sensitive" Electoral Commission doc that someone's found...& that I've never seen before. Lots of details about how & why Electoral Commission picked Vote Leave over GO. Lots of questions...dig in

A few from me to kick off. What does this reference to the "Panama Papers" mean?? Is inference that Electoral Commission had read about Arron Banks' listing in Panama Papers? If so, shouldn't questions about his donation being "impermissible" should have been flagged BEFORE ref?
Is that what this means?? If so, did Electoral Commission discuss Arron Banks fitness as a donor when discussing whether to make his GO Movement the lead campaign?? And if so, shouldn't the public have had that information?
Also, remember how @SteveBakerHW proposed setting up a "family" of campaigns to enable Vote Leave to get round electoral finance laws? Here's a whole load of ones we hadn't heard of before. Document notes that overseeing them is Cleo Watson - now working for @theresa_may at No 10

Brexit is not happening in a vacuum. It's why last week's DCMS report was so important. Anti-semitism is on the rise everywhere. And it's been helped & facilitated by the tech platforms. Labour's problem with anti-semitism is downstream. We must look at the bigger picture
This is really worth reading. The row in the Labour Party is one thing. But the sources of information that are fuelling this are the real threat. And our best chance of confronting it last week was totally eclipsed by our eternally parochial politics

And this is why @jeremycorbyn is so woefully not up to the task. He can't even see the problem. The Labour movement should be all over the consolidation of power by the tech platforms. But he's never made a single statement on it. Shows zero understanding of issues

Twitter released the tweets of another 418 russian accounts on January 31.
I'm going to use this thread to take a look at the information they gave us about these accounts.
And talk about other bots and trolls you can find using this data.

Of the 418 accounts 1 was a double, @CovfefeNationUS it was already included in the last batch of accounts.
One was not actually suspended until I reminded them.
2 of them had active backup accounts at the time of publication of the data.
around 320 of the accounts I had tweeted about a lot. So i'm not going to bother going back over them.
I found them right after NBC put out the 1st batch of tweets from the russian trolls.
They were bots, and most of the data about what they did is unavailable.

1. The one argument or no deal #Brexit that I can respect is a need for a complete political clear out but that must also include the ERG scumbags - and there is a real danger with this line of thinking that actually it won't make any difference.
2. The problem is as much to do with our top down culture of politics where Westminster continues to set the agenda and media falls into line - and so do all of you. The no deal propaganda campaign starts in the bowels of the tory right apparatus. Establishment as it gets.
3. There is no way our political class is ever going to admit they are the source of our problems thus we cannot expect them to resolve the problems - nor will they get out of the way voluntarily. They will continue to play their dimal tribal games.

Before I lose the idea. R76 and wax museum challenge.
I'm thinking Jack as a journalist, challenged to do the "one night in a wax museum" thing. (Since he lost a bet in his journalist company).

His boss wants a segment of his experience or something so Jack takes a vid camera, sleeping bag, notebooks and some necessities
His bet requires him to set up in the 'murderers' section for maximum fear factor and what not. Jack admits he's a little scared cause everything looks so real.

One of the statues is a guy called Gabriel Reyes. The story was that he murdered people around the city.
