Today's storm in a teacup only arises because the Government's motion is not neutral. This unnecessary carry on is wanted by no one.
3/3: The right thing would have been a neutral motion and the adoption of #MalthouseCompromise by the Government, around which there is a majority.

Today's votes are a distraction from the clear 1st step to a deal: replacing the backstop with alternative arrangements
