I've opposed unilateral executive action since before many of you were born, but let me repeat: you cannot keep playing by the rules while letting your opponent play Calvinball.
Eventually, people figure out the asymmetric nature of the conflict and realize they'd be fools to continue constraining themselves.
Yes, this is terrible, but it's also predictable and predicted. Seriously, pretending that neither human nature nor history exist is ridiculous. At least try to understand why we are where we are.
But no. Instead, it's all whataboutism and principles and being the better person and ignoring everything that has come before. Crap like this does not happen in a vacuum.
You want the truth? I'm just surprised things haven't gone completely sideways already. I guess it's because, by and large, most people are decent and don't really want to fight their neighbors. That will not last forever though.
