Okay, we tried all day to be cool about the legendary @DonCheadle wearing our cap last night on @nbcsnl, but yeah, fuck that.
Probably a good time to remind everyone that this is a crowd-sourced effort taking on hate, sexism and harassment in the media, social media and on the Internets. Come on along.

And those hats will be available very soon as soon as we get our store back up and running.

Beyond using his platform to say immigrants make our country “dirtier” and asking if diversity is our strength, parroting white supremacists, this will be yet another reason why advertisers leave Carlson’s show.
Ultimately, advertisers have come to grips with the fact that this show isn’t about legitimate commentary because it become completely shot-through with racism, xenophobia and misogyny. His moral high-ground act is up.
He spouts bigotry on behalf of very wealthy people like the Koch Brothers, who fund his website and the Murdochs, who own Fox, and there aren’t a lot of folks that would be proud to associate themselves with that.

This video surfaced yesterday and it is beyond shocking. Beyond the absolutely disgusting fact that @TeamYouTube is allowing pedophile rings on their platform, they are also making it profitable by monetizing it with ad dollars from major corporations. reddit.com/r/videos/comme…
.@YouTube continues to prove that their algorithm can be played and that the worst elements of our society can figure out ways to monetize themselves on their platform. When will corporations hold them accountable? Their safety measures do not work.

Had a little moment just now where I remembered how much I loved the Hobby Show in Toronto.

Picture ComicCon. Now add model trains and remote controlled boats. AND comics. AND prop vendors — to this day I regret not buying an Aliens pulse rifle cast from the original prop.
I did model trains with my dad at least in part to go to the Hobby Show every year. And I integrated whatever I found there into our model trains, much to the chagrin of the Erin Mills Model Railroad Association.
See, it was the kind of train club where everybody builds a section of track and then at a show you can connect them all together and have a massive model rail line.

My four foot section was particularly great.

California is burning again. Good time to remind everyone that:

1) These fires are a direct consequence of colonialism & capitalism - the settlers do not know how to steward the land.

2) Imprisoned people shouldn't be forced to fight these fires for absurdly low wages.
I'm always laughing at the audacious hypocrisy of white people in the northern/rural parts of this state preventing housing development under the guise of "protecting the environment."
These white people up here say they care about the forests but can't name the tribe that lives in that area. Even & especially when their county/town is literally named after the tribe.

Give back the land to the people who know it best, and follow their guidance.

Seems like a good time to remind everyone that multiple courts rejected Exxon's attempts to block @NewYorkStateAG's investigation as "political." A federal judge called Exxon's efforts "legal jiu jitsu," "implausible," "a wild stretch of logic," and a "huge waste" of time and $.

In light of Nunes' comments today, I think it's a good time to remind everyone that Papadopoulos helped write Trump's first major foreign policy speech in April 2016 and told Greek media he met Trump on at least three occasions, once receiving from him a "blank check" job offer.
2/ And don't forget that Papadopoulos was with Trump's campaign from early March 2016 through January 2017, and met with Trump's Chief of Staff Reince Priebus *during the inauguration*. Nothing in any of that suggests he was a peripheral figure in Donald Trump's world.
3/ Trump had four different NatSec teams between March 2016 and January 2017, and one of the only people besides Sessions to survive across all four iterations was Papadopoulos. He had virtually no credentials, so you *better believe* he was bringing something else to the table.
