I have always wished a CO a safe command tenure, safe for his boys and their loved ones. Sadly, the past few months have been awful.
We are losing the flower of our youth.
We need a blue ribbon commission in the armed forces and MoD.
There must be retribution. There must be redrawing of plans. We cannot afford to not win this #NoWarNoPeace situation.
Take the #Mirage2000 fatal. That is too high a price to pay. A crash on Take-Off Roll, after servicing at an overhaul facility, we lost two aces. Rank bad. Heads must roll.
An IAF TP on deputation to HAL, who had tested the ac before it was offered for acceptance, presented his side of the story to explain the mishap. While respecting and admiring his moral courage, I find that was a manifestation of that awful Stockholm Syndrome.
Remember the horrible loss in the #Sindhurakshak accident. Faulty batteries, non-procurement of adequate and appropriate replacements. We lost 18 young men. The CNS resigned. LIfe went on.
