@MotherJones It's reminiscent of a larger pattern. In the past two years, use of dicamba has grown exponentially, destroying millions of acres of crops – and costing millions of dollars.

In 2008, an Egyptian man named Mokless Girgis bought an opulent 10,400-square-foot mansion on famed Rodeo Drive.

He had a reputation for small-time financial scams.
Public records show that the sale price was $10.3 million.

daniel borden will be sentenced tomorrow after pleading guilty in may 2018 for his role in the brutal beating of deandre harris on august 12, 2017.
he entered an alford plea for felony malicious wounding - briefly, this means he maintains innocence while admitting he knows the state has sufficient evidence to convict him (because he's, you know, on video committing the crime)

two other men have already been tried, convicted, and sentenced for their participation in this beating. alex ramos & jacob goodwin were convicted in 2018 and will serve 6 & 10 years, respectively.
tyler davis goes to trial next month.

The organizers of #HimToo are Quincy Franklin/Anatello and Haley Adams. They are Christian Fundamentalists who believe in curtailing women's rights and LGBTQ rights and they think false rape accusations represent a problem of greater magnitude than rapists mostly walking free.
Only an average of 33% of victims report their cases to police according to the National Crime Victims Resource Center. Undetected rapists commit an average of 5.8 rapes each according to a 2002 University of Massachusetts and Brown University Study.

1/ Two days ago, I wrote a thread on Dr. Ford's allegations against Kavanaugh, establishing that Republicans had *lied* about the definition of "corroborating evidence" in order to *falsely* claim that Ford's well-corroborated account had no corroboration.
2/ Yesterday, I wrote a thread on Deborah Ramirez's allegations against Kavanaugh, establishing that if, as averred in a breaking news story by NBC, Kavanaugh anticipated Ramirez's allegations *months* before they came out, his entire nomination is a sham.
