John Harris: I had no reason to believe that my father, or anyone affiliated with the campaign, had any reason to know Dowless was doing anything illegal. But in 2017, Harris said he believed Dowless was collecting ballots illegally. He says he thinks his parents were misled
"[Dowless] had assured them, that no one can touch a ballot," John Harris said. "I just didn't believe McCrae because the numbers didn't add up."
In a remarkable email, John Harris warned his parents that he believed Dowless was collecting ballots and mailing them to the board of elections in batches. Harris' father hired Dowless despite these objections/concerns
