NEW: A federal appeals court in Washington has rejected a challenge to the validity of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
Here's the opinion. By my count, the members of the unanimous D.C. Cir. panel become the fifth, sixth and seventh federal judges to reject arguments that Robert Mueller's appointment as special counsel was invalid.

Here are the checks Michael Cohen says he obtained from President Trump reimbursing him for the illegal hush-money payment to Stormy Daniels. One is drawn on Trump's personal account, the other on his revocable trust (which owns Trump's private businesses).

The checks are consistent with how federal prosecutors in New York described the way Cohen was reimbursed by The Trump Organization for the hush-money payment. It was to be in installments of $35,000 per month, which the company disguised as payments for legal services.

Mueller's office has filed a timeline for how a copy of Roger Stone's indictment became public. Basically, after he was arrested they posted it online and sent out a press release.
Basically, the judge wanted to know whether Stone's indictment was made public before Stone was in custody, which was the condition that would cause it to be unsealed. Mueller's office says it wasn't, and offers emails and server logs to support that.

1. Note the date: the confidential files with evidence were leaked in October 2018.
2. The Twitter account has been removed. It's old news. There is nothing discrediting to Mueller's investigation in the fact that the Russians stole the files. If anything, it confirms that, yes, Russians hack.

Mr. Cohen talked to associates about building a huge practice. He mused about approaching foreign governments and foreign firms. But a broad review of his Washington dealings since they first surfaced last week shows his efforts were scattershot and met only with mixed success 2)
His work did have an impact in one way. It dragged some of the world’s largest corporations and other firms into Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation 3)
