So update. I gave the Amway lady her book back. It was largely anticlimactic. We sat down together, I said here's your book.
She was like, did you read it?
I was like, I skimmed it.
She gave me a disappointed look.

She began to say, "How did you--" then stopped and was like, "Yes, but we're part of a different distributors network that does things differently from what you may have heard."

She was actually more gracious than I would have expected. Hugged me goodbye, wished me luck in my career.
