Too long? Well they either mean absolutely nothing, or they are the most violent change in our trading arrangements in history. One of the two.
Which? Haha fuck knows. Because the government won't tell us. It just hides away and pursues it without any democratic scrutiny whatsoever. That's what taking back control entails.
But it's OUR GOVERNMENT' which is hiding away and making economy-defining changes without any input or scrutiny, so apparently that's some kind of improvement.

The worst thing bar none about writing is when all the notes are there on the page and they have to be put in order before anything can be written.
When it's a major project - book chapters, long-form features - this can take a couple of days. You're doing a lot of the heavy-lifting of the piece without actually getting down to write it.
I hate it. It's the writing equivalent of tidying the house before guests come over.

I've been thinking about #PlanS a lot since the announcement. I've been reflecting on my experience with the foundation's policy implementation. Random thoughts:

I agree & think that there is enough funder experience in #openaccess policy implementation to successfully implement this. While it's important to critically review each new policy development the community that wants to see change really needs to support any effort to change
It can be scary being first in something - however it can also reaffirm that need for change. So far I haven't seen many examples of open access being a detriment to research. For PlanS this isn't a single entity, but an entire coalition, which is quite impressive.
