Hayden Williams’ attacker Zachary Greenberg was in court this morning to plead not guilty to the three felony and one misdemeanor charges against him. Greenberg was ordered by the court to stay away from Williams and stay off the UC Berkeley campus.
Greenberg also sought that his private information be redacted from the court records, as he was being harassed and threatened. The court granted the request.
Next court date is April 9. Throughout this process, the Alameda County DA’s office has been professional and diligent. On behalf of Hayden, we look forward to seeing justice be done in this case.
Greenberg’s attorney told reporters that he had been studying in the UC Berkeley library that day, though he doesn’t attend Berkeley; he attends another nearby college, she said.
