1. If you believe avowed Hamas supporter @JeremyCorbyn, the UN Human Rights Council's latest inquiry on Gaza was fair, objective and credible. Nothing could be further from the truth.
2. Let's begin by taking at a look at the UNHRC resolution that created and governed the inquiry, Resolution S-28/1. This founding text of the inquiry falsely characterized all of the Palestinians at the border fence as “civilians” and their activities as ”peaceful protests.”
3. The prejudicial resolution title itself presumptively referred to “civilian protests;” PP8 spoke of Israel’s “intentional targeting” of Palestinian “civilians”; OP1 referred to “peaceful protests”; OP3 cited “demonstrations” by “civilians” that are “peaceful.”

This is either a bright idea or a brilliant mistake, but this is only, this is only, this is only the beginning...
I did something similar to this 5 years ago, in anticipation of EC & @theroots' Wise Up Ghost LP, on tumblr.

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."

I feel like driving up some controversy, so how about a thread of Hot Takes/Unpopular Opinions! You know the drill, one like = one take/opinion.

Start easy: the blunt awkwardness/cringe of 'Blurryface' is the point of taking the piss out of Tyler. I stand by my light 9/10.
2. I don't hate Nickelback's 'Dark Horse' - it's easily a record for them at their most tasteless, but the frat-bro swagger of it helps some of their better hooks.
3. 'Fireflies' by Owl City is a genuinely terrific song that captures precocious, starry-eyed wonderment better than few others in the 2000s.

It is SPECTACULARLY lame, but that's why it works.

207. UCHE DIKE was an odd ball with a mild distasteful sense of fashion when he first gained admission into Nnamdi Azikiwe university in Anambra State, Nigeria.

Uche was one of those students in school who occasionally wore bogus long sleeved shirts...

A geek eyeglass, an afro, a black duffle bag and a brown shoe that shares the same oddity with Uche's choice of clothing, was also part of his signature appearance.
