What followed was a torturous ride through hell, to be tied to a fence, beaten, terrorized and maimed by two men filled with hate.

Most of us had been harassed, shunned, discarded by friends and family beaten even but survived. Deep down we knew the extent of the hatred. Then we saw that hate exacted with incredible force on a small, kind faced gay boy.

Where was he during hates crimes legislation battles in Congress? Where are the fiery speeches? Why is there no record of Rep Sanders or Sen Sanders fighting and rallying and authoring legislation in support of LGBT Americans? Why is it he signs on only after the work is done?
