1. It kind of floats by like every other scandal but the family separation crisis is on another level

The Trump administration has done lasting damage to thousands of kids

And Secretary Nielsen's testimony yesterday was seriously disturbing

2. First, Nielsen STILL will not admit that the Trump administration every had a policy of separating children.

Despite admitting that thousands were separated

And despite a memo that shows DHS explicitly making the choice.

3. Nielsen admitted that, before implementing a policy separating thousands of children, she was not familiar with the basic research about how that impacts kids.

All these months later, she still hasn't bothered to learn about it.

1. A few thoughts on the Mueller news.

No one commenting has read the report

The idea there are “no more indictments” by Mueller is driving a lot of coverage

But it’s a non-sequitur. The report summarizes Mueller’s work. By definition, it’s submitted when he’s done indicting
2. The report was not about more indictments. Interest in the report was about what Mueller has to say ABOUT TRUMP.

DOJ policy says a sitting president can’t be indicted, so a report would be how we learn if Mueller believes Trump engaged in wrongdoing
3. So perhaps Mueller’s report concludes that Trump didn’t do anything wrong and is complete vindication

But we don’t know

Until we know what the report says it’s probably best not to draw sweeping conclusions about the investigation

This thread is a deliberate attempt to mislead Americans and distort the truth.

He relies on the Robb-Silverman to absolve himself

But that report specifically did not examine how Fleischer presented the intel to the public

Fleischer surely knows this. He just doesn't care.
I could expand on this in great detail but I don't think too many people are still interested. If I'm wrong let me know.
OK, I'll do it a bit more.

Yes, the intel was flawed.

But @AriFleischer, Bush and Cheney went FAR BEYOND WHAT THE INTEL SAID to make the case for war.

As a result, many people died.

1. Devin Nunes' lawsuit is the perfect encapsulation of how fucked up things are in the USA right now.

Nunes is literally suing a fictional cow.

His lawyer also represents a guy who believes NASA is operating a child slave camp on Mars.

But the coverage does not flatly state that the case is A COMPLETE JOKE

The core claim, that conservatives are being censored on social media IS TOTALLY MADE UP

1. Contrary to her testimony, Children WERE taken away even when parent sought asylum legally.
@SecNielsen 2. Secretary Nielsen cites 2,000 separated children, but our case documented 2,800 kids taken away. Now an internal report says there may be thousands more on top of the 2800.
@SecNielsen 3. Unbelievably, Sec. Nielsen compared our government ripping little kids away from parents to cases where a parent makes the agonizing choice to send a teenager to the US to escape violence.
