First the Trump administration stranded asylum seekers in Mexico while their cases go forward here.

Then it messed up the court schedule, so two people missed hearings.

Now @ICEgov is saying they should be deported.

TO BE CLEAR: @ICEgov knew an asylum seeker was stuck at the US port of entry, not being let in, after learning at the last minute that the government was holding a hearing in her case. ICE tried to take advantage of that to get her deported.

Seeking asylum is not a game.
This mess is one reason we sued to stop the illegal policy of stranding asylum seekers in Mexico. This logistical disaster was entirely predictable.

We cannot allow the Trump administration to sabotage people's asylum claims.

We will see the government in court on 3/22.
