Very predictable. Beto was not ready for primetime. What he was, was gassed up by white liberal media elites.

Scrutiny while running for Senate with tons of out-of-state $ in a state mediates want to flip, s nowhere near the presidential level.

He must improve, very quickly.
FTR, it's worth pointing out that those white liberal media elites who gassed up @BetoORourke to run used him. They didn't think he could win, either. They want excitement in Texas, and for @KamalaHarris, who they protected from a denouncement from her own father, to pick him.
We have not spoken with one Democrat who thought Beto O'Rourke could win the nomination. What we did hear was that he'd make a great VP pick for Kamala Harris, who they want to run against Donald Trump.

They need the racist run. It cannot be about his record.

Thread: I get asked about the impact of Candace Owens and #BLEXIT effort, a lot. It's a good question, but the answer really needs to be in a thread. So, I'm going to do one on it now. I suspect @TheCheefReport will largely agree. But I'll let him speak for himself.

Here we go.
There's a lot to this. But let's just start with two points.

1. The GOP doesn't have a problem w/ black voters. It's more accurate to say they have a problem with urban black voters.

2.. Voters mostly make a rational policy choice, or at least it is w/ 411 they have available.
On point one, look at what @TheCheefReport is saying here, and remember what I said about GOP not having a black voter problem, but an urban black voter problem. GOP does quite well among rural minorities.

Does Candace speak to their rational choice? No.

Btw, @CNN has some nerve criticizing @Rasmussen_Poll, even if there's valid criticism, which I think we all should welcome.

How's Governor Gillum+7 doing? Give me a break.
Those little pollster hit pieces should tell readers & viewers where the industry really is at right now, at least in public arenas. We should want an open & productive dialogue, esp. those in public polling. But interests are narratives & contracts, not trust or accuracy.
FTR, in the private arena, where you're paid to get it right, it's not like the public arena. & not all politics.

We talk, communicate with data source providers and work together to get it right. Polling, or market research in general, is butt ugly in politics, alone.

Beto doesn't necessary put Texas in play. Look closer at who made it close vs. Ted Cruz. Those are swingy whites. it was close B/C it was a good election for Democrats in the House, BC he spent millions on platitudes w.o vetting, and it was a Senate race. And guess what? He lost.
Beto only had a good launch day in the minds of white liberal journalists. Think Progress & others said he didn't bring much to the field. Pelosi struggled to cite a single accomplishment before mentioning his support for the environment (not a bill), Green groups disagreed.

Looking back at old photos of myself is a super trippy experience
It’s weird how hard it is for me to have compassion for my past self sometimes, esp when I see an aspect of a past version of me in other people. Going back thru photos and old messages puts me back in that headspace and helps me re-understand & integrate it into my current self
For example, I’ve been looking at photos and screenshots I took when I was like depressed to the point of being like passively-suicidal. And what that girl needed was just accepting presence and love. Somebody to tell her that her intuition wasn’t something to stifle.

It's time to talk about the history of the KKK in Montana. This is a piece of the cultural puzzle that is Montana.
The re-vamped KKK came to Montana in 1921 to recruit white, American-born, protestant male Montanan. More than 5100 Montanans joined the Klan during the 20's. It started in Harlowtown in 1921, and established headquarters in Livingston in 1923.
The KKK published a newspaper in Belgrade called “The Montana Klansmen”. Klans members were welcomed in 46 communities, having chapters in all those places, including Bozeman. In MT they presented themselves pretty benignly.
