Anti "white supremacy" is emotionally powerful agitational line ironically because it appeals to tribalism. Either way tribalism wins.
The alternative to the melting pot is the present situation. Can anyone walk it back? Does anyone want to?
The Global World project seems finished. The Left will say "white supremacy" killed it. The right will say "multiculturalism" killed it. But everyone is staring down into the coffin. The challenge is how not to join it there.
What comes after the Global World Mark 1 is interesting to consider. Will it revert to the old nations or perhaps even smaller units?
Recognizing this change has taken place -- that the old Global Project is finished -- and managing the transition to something else should be an essential attribute of the aspiring leaders.

I think people are building the infra for a finer grained yet integrated world. Digital sovereign ID makes possible virtual walls and inclusively, virtual communities. This is full of danger too, but danger of a different kind.
One of the absolute musts for transitioning into a post Global yet integrated world is re-architecturing the Internet to something that is more distributed and gets the balance between privacy and governance right.
