Chuka Umunna tells #AWeurope that TIG plans to become a party by the end of the year. He pours cold water over suggestions that Nick Boles could join: “I’m not sure he shares the same progressive values as we do.”
Umunna says there has been disagreement between People’s Vote MPs and the official campaign over the last few weeks. He describes the tactic of not pushing an amendment now as “a bit odd” & adds: “There has been a clear difference in views over tactics for reaching those goals.”

Hmm. Ken Clarke asks the PM to commit to holding indicative votes next week. She appears to say no - argues that the HoC has already had lots of votes on alternatives to her deal. Deputy PM David Lidington had given MPs a different impression.
PM pressed on indicative votes by Ed Miliband. Again she says the HoC has already had opportunities to vote for alternatives. She may have no choice but to facilitate them however - Stephen Kinnock told me this morning that MPs are planning to table a new version of Cooper-Benn.
Yvette Cooper: “I beg this prime minister to think again.” Her, Miliband and other Labour MPs look incandescent with the PM after her refusal to commit to indicative votes.

At Chatham House where Nick Boles, Lucy Powell, Stephen Kinnock & Robert Halfon are talking about “Common Market 2.0.” Probably the most important discussion about this Brexit model yet - backers believe it has a HoC majority, Corbyn warming to it, MPs could vote on it soon.
Kinnock says that he agrees with Farage, Dan Hannan and Owen Paterson, who have all in the last few years endorsed a Norway-style relationship with the EU. He adds that “pragmatic Eurosceptism” has been scrapped and replaced by a “isolationist” mission which abandons the 48%.
Interesting... Kinnock says that talks with Corbyn have gone very well and could soon lead to Labour backing a Common Market-style plan.

“We hope we will be able to secure the Labour whip for a backbench driven” piece of legislation.

And once again it's Monday, and I'm recapping today's @MBTA board meeting rather than riding my bike trainer like I should be doing, because I can't do both and still get to bed at a reasonable hour. This meeting started at the usual time of 12 noon.
Today's meeting agenda was clearly made available to electeds before the public, since word that the Red-Blue Connector would be discussed was out days before the agenda was released to us plebes. Unusually for the first Monday of a month, there was a public comment period.
There were two separate signup sheets, one for "Focus 40" and one for the rest of the agenda. I was the second attendee to sign up to speak, and nearly all public speakers were there to discuss Red-Blue, including eight public officials or their representatives.

Replace worn tyres, replace cv joints, suspension bushes, tie rods, rack ends. Go for alignment and camber adjustment.
To avoid common highway breakdowns, check your battery, check your belts, check your lights, check your indicators & Spare Tyre.

Due to repeated demand again this year, I'm sharing my #Thanksgiving mashed potatoes recipe.

Ingredients:
1 5lb bag of red potatoes
1 stick of butter (real butter, don't pollute my recipe with fake stuff)
8 - 10 oz sour cream (don't use low-fat fake "food products")
3 tbs chives
Salt and red chili powder to taste
1/2 cup whole milk (skim milk is for wusses)
1 pack turkey bacon, diced
Cut potatoes into quarters and place in a large pot. Bring to boil until they get very soft. Drain, run cold water over potatoes and remove skin (can leave some on if desired.)

Place peeled potatoes back in the pot, turn on heat to medium, add sour cream and butter.
