Pastor Chukwuemeka Ezeugo aka Reverend King was sentenced to Death for murdering his member for Fornication. He was reported to sleep with both married and unmarried women members and flog his members. He ran for President of Nigeria in 2019. He decamped from GDPN to APDA to NAC.
Pastor Chukwuemeka Ezeugo a.k.a Reverend King's members celebrate his birthday yearly, and put wishes for him in newspapers. They believe he was sent to prison by "witches and wizards."
A Kenyan Spiritualist, who calls himself Jesus of Tongaren claims to be the Messiah, but doesn't want to be crucified because "he doesn't believe in it".

He is a primary school dropout, and a father of 7 children. He said he's working on a Third Testament.

Thomas Sankara was Burkina Faso's President from 1983 - 1987. He refused aid, increased the literacy rate by 60% via Free Education, banned forced marriage & FGM. Vaccinated 2.5 million kids. His best friend, Blaise Compaore murdered him, buried him quietly & ruled for 27 years.
Sudan's former President Jafaar an-Nimiery, who ruled from 1969 to 1985, survived 22 coup attempts in 15 years.

The 23rd and successful attempt was plotted by his close friend and Defense Minister, Gen. Abdel Rahman Swar al-Dahab, who overthrew him on April 6, 1985.

Burkina Faso unveils a Thomas Sankara statue. He refused aid, boosted the literacy rate by 60%, banned forced marriage & FGM. Brought Free Education. His best friend, Blaise Compaore murdered him with France's help and ruled for 27 years, but couldn't do half of what he did in 4.
Thomas Sankara increased Burkina Faso's literacy rate from 13% in 1983 to 73% in 1987. He lived in a small house and only had $350, when he died. He vaccinated 2.5 million children & banned Polygamy. He sold the Government's fleet of Mercedes Benz & made Renault 5 Ministers cars.
He refused to have his portraits hung in public places. He renamed the country, Burkina Faso (Land of Honest Men) & composed the National Anthem. He reduced the salaries of Government officials including his own as the President. He built roads and railways without foreign aid.

Today is going to be heavy on education-related topics. This is a sexy topic these days not least because educational institutions generate a lot of data and house economists. #NBERday
However, I should note here that economics of education is *adjacent to* some of my actual expertise, not my area of greatest mastery. Thus, while I can discuss these papers somewhat, several of them (seem to) disagree, and I can't tell you who to believe for sure. #NBERday

1/ Manu (The progenitor of Humankind)
All different races of Mankind are derived from Manu and Shradha. The current Manu is Vaivasvata Manu.
2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
