Another cowardly Brexiteer attack on the civil service in the Telegraph, continuing a theme of such articles, largely believed to be written by special advisors with political axes to grind. Civil servants can't answer back, I can, this is garbage telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/…
I worked in the civil service 9 years, 2 after Brexit, and haven't seen these large parts of the Whitehall machine that are systematically working against Brexit. I see the usual departmental tensions, which the author is exaggerating for malice
I also don't recall any civil servants going round asking how everyone voted in the referendum. Or any other vote. This therefore seems unlikely, and to be blunt, almost certainly pure invention.
