BREAKING: In letter to WH, Rep. Cummings reveals that KUSHNER was routinely using WhatsApp to conduct official business as recently as Dec. 2018. Kushner's lawyer told lawmakers he screenshots messages to preserve them.

Lowell also told lawmakers, per Cummings, that Ivanka Trump doesn't forward email she receives to her official White House account unless she replies. Cummings says this "would appear to violate the Presidential Records Act."
The lawmakers asked Lowell if Kushner used WhatsApp for classified information. "That's above my pay grade," Lowell replied, per Cummings.

Almost every aspect of this is untrue.
There’s no evidence Mueller’s team did anything except follow DOJ policy when it reissued Strzok and Page’s phones to new agents. There texts were reviewed and deemed immaterial, per IG report. oig.justice.gov/reports/2018/i…

2/ In the Obama WH, we would have never ever knowingly allowed a senior official to conduct official business using a personal messaging app, presumably from his personal phone, on an ongoing basis. It raises both security issues and legal issues.
3/There's a reason that govt employees are assigned govt email accounts. You want govt records to be auto archived, and in the proper format for searching and storage. You don't want to rely on employees to "self-collect" their electronic records from some personal account..

Trump’s decision so troubled senior administration officials that COS John Kelly wrote a contemporaneous internal memo to document he had been ORDERED to give #Kushner the top-secret security clearance. WH counsel McGahn also wrote a memo of CIA & others' concerns about Kushner.
