If you follow me on Insta, this is a repetitive mom rant and you can stop reading, but I need to rant and sorry y'all, you're going to hear it.

I just did a kiddie class with my older two kids, and as I'm sitting there, I'm talking to a dad who mentions how insanely sick his kid had been with a stomach virus, explaining she got so dehydrated their doc gave them medication to stop the vomiting (Zofran).

"Oh wow, that's nuts, I'm glad she's feeling better. When was that?"
"We gave her the medication last night at 5pm and she stopped vomiting."
Me:

I spent my entire week last week getting over a stomach virus. Our daughter had it on Monday. You know what we did Tuesday? NOTHING BECAUSE WE ARE DECENT PEOPLE WHO DON'T EXPOSE THE PUBLIC TO THE PLAGUE.

If your child was puking so much that you had to give her medication to stop, and she only stopped because of that medication, and she only took it less than 12 hours ago, WHY THE HELL DID YOU BRING HER HERE?

And of course as he's telling this story, one of my kids is literally rolling around on the ground with his. And then she had to come out of the class and lay down on the floor next to her dad because she felt sick. OF COURSE SHE DID, SHE IS STILL SICK.

Some of you who follow me on Twitter know I have mmmm kind of a temper. It's a thing I've been working on for like ehhhh 30 years or so. But I know my limits and decided I didn't trust myself to say anything at that moment, lest I lose my actual shit.

I'm not sure what I should have said. My kid was at that point already exposed. And I'm not sure I could have said anything in a calm and measured way. But WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK BRO?

Okay thank you everyone for validating how angry I was. I kind of felt like I was fly off the handle mad, irrationally so. But now I'm regretting not saying something.

Update: the kid who was rolling around on the ground playing with that girl has spent the entire night puking. Me rn about that fucking dad
