More news out on the #NXIVM cult case today. We are seeing a lot of movement in this case the past few weeks.

Another key #NXIVM defendant, Lauren Salzman, has pled guilty to Racketeering and Racketeering Conspiracy. frankreport.com/2019/03/28/lau…
Quoting Frankreport.com: "Following in the footsteps of her mother, Lauren Salzman has decided to plead guilty rather than go to trial in the case of the U.S. v. Raniere Et Al.to one count each of Racketeering and Racketeering Conspiracy." #NXIVM
"The two counts to which Lauren pleaded guilty each carry a maximum sentence of 20-years. Just like her mother, however, Lauren will likely receive a much more lenient sentence than the maximum."
"At the hearing where she pleaded guilty, Nancy Salzman sobbed as she read the following words from her prepared statement “I am deeply sorry for the trouble I have brought to my daughter”.

According to several former members of NXIVM/ESP, Lauren was barely of legal age when
Nancy started encouraging her to “spend time” with ['the Vanguard'] [Keith] Raniere."

Some incredibly good news for the MAGA movement. @POTUS @realDonaldTrump has nominated lawyer Christopher Landau to be the next United States Ambassador to Mexico, replacing former AT&T executive Ed Whitacre who had been the previous candidate. This is good news because
Ed Whitacre is, and has been a "Mexican-deep state" favorite for years on the U.S. side. This was bothering me a lot as I saw Whitacre's name being suggested as the next Ambassador to Mexico -- I hadn't wanted to mention it or risk criticism from my new conservative friends.
I am quite pleased to see @realDonaldTrump's administration figured it out before Whitacre was nominated. If you look back at news releases you'll see the press was reporting Ed Whitacre as the "preferred" pick for Ambassador of Mexico which is spooky, another #deepstate clue.

Mexico has the most substantial military and law enforcement apparatus in Latin America. If they wanted to stop the Central American migrant caravans that have been traversing their country, they could easily do so.

Cartels are enemies of both the American people and ordinary Mexican people. In my years of working and traveling throughout Mexico, I met countless business owners in Mexico who had been extorted and terrorized by cartels. Our @POTUS @realDonaldTrump understands this reality.
When and if cartel-driven violence and corruption can be reduced within Mexico, it will have a dramatic effect on the Mexican populous trying to flee their own country. @realDonaldTrump is taking the right steps to protect American sovereignty. It's time for #Mexico to get
serious about implementing anti-corruption measures within their own legislature and state governments. Such a concept might sound so absurd, it's difficult for us as Americans to believe it would be possible. I spoke with politicians in Mexico for many years and as a result

1/ There's been a lot of talk on here over the past few weeks about veterans adjusting to civilian life after their service comes to an end; either through time served or because of premature release (i.e. on medical grounds). There's also been a lot of posts about recruitment.
2/ So, I decided to pen a few thoughts / pearls of wisdom based on my 15 years' service & the subsequent 23 post-military commercial years I have spent in civvy street. Some of it you may recognise; some you may violently disagree with; I can only go on gut instinct & experience:
3/ Firstly, for those currently serving, no matter how long you signed up for, start thinking about (& planning for) life after your service. Do the same "what if?" planning that you do in the military. Research different career types: what you might / might NOT want to do. ("P")
