Mexico has the most substantial military and law enforcement apparatus in Latin America. If they wanted to stop the Central American migrant caravans that have been traversing their country, they could easily do so.

#Mexico is not a poor country. Mexico is a #corrupt country.
So, the way I see it, we ought to be asking....WHY hasn't Mexico secured it's southern border with Guatemala?

And even moreso, WHY doesn't Mexico stop the migrant caravans before they reach the U.S. border? Who is influencing Mexico to "stand down" and even help these caravans?
By the way, despite what some Mexican economists may argue, the reality remains that by far the main reason Mexico is not a poor country, why Mexico has moved up to be about the #14 economy in the world, is due to trade with us, the United States of America. So there's that, too.
Of all these countries benefiting from the American economy, Mexico tops the list. They should be thankful and respectful towards us, instead of poisoning our cities with drugs and violence resulting from illegal immigrant gang members.
Some regional remittance data from Q4 of 2015. Although many know this already, it's interesting to see a visual representation of the top areas where migrants are tapping in to the U.S. economy.
