Thanks to whoever recommended the movie Colossal to me a year or two ago. I'm clearing out my Netflix DVD queue and it just came up.
It bends genres and genre conventions in all sorts of weird and fascinating ways. Some of it makes absolutely no sense, but if you read it as an allegory, that mostly doesn't matter.
And earlier this week I watched the 1974 Black Christmas for the first time, so that's two big genre flicks in a few days that turned out to be pretty much all about misogyny in ways I wasn't expecting.

That some people found Biden's physical intimacy welcome and appropriate doesn't mean that others did, or should have. Neither experience invalidates the other.

I love this movie so much.

I sincerely do hate how anything a person says about a candidate—positive or negative—gets filtered through the lens of presumed partisanship.
I genuinely like Joe Biden. His politics aren't mine, and I've never thought he was the right fit for this historical moment, but I think he was a good vice president and a good surrogate for Obama on the trail.
I'm never going to see a Democratic candidate for president whose politics are mine, but as a campaigner and as a public speaker, I found stuff to like in Joe Biden.

Here's how we'll do this. There's no point listing our top 50 selling single issues because a series that does really well will monopolise the top of our charts for the entire year because it comes out much more regularly than collected editions.

So in honor of all the fallen #Netflix #Marvel series, here's a thread about the fanfiction MCU show that my buddy Francois (@francoisvigneault on IG) & I have been talking about off and on for like 3+ damn years. It's set in 1973 and it's called FURY: Agent Of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Now, when I say we've been talking about this for years, I mean we started talking about it before Avengers 2. Plot beats, themes, & everything. We kept coming back to it-every time a new movie came out we'd be like "we should draw this up & post about it" but we never did.

So we came up with a lot of this stuff before characters got cast or explored in the real MCU. We set it in the past before Agent Carter came out & folded that into our plans. Ant Man etc hadn't come out. I'll note who we cast in our Young Nick Fury show. (3/?)

Abe's farrier is Sydney. Sydney is a young (maybe neighborhood of 30, I've never asked) who decided she'd be a farrier, and went to farrier school, and spent a relative fortune on farrier tools, and she earns her livelihood working on the feet of horses, donkeys, and mules.
2. Sydney is attractive, simply because she is a healthy young strong woman, and attractiveness grows out of all these traits. We actually met her at dog classes, so we really lucked into knowing her. Sometimes Clinch the Heeler /. Chihuahua cross comes with her.
