Almost all problems in startups are simpler, but harder than you think.
Competition? Just ignore them. The solution is to literally do nothing. Is it easy? Hell no.

The secret to startup success? YC got it down to 4 words: build something people want.
Don't know what to build? Talk to your users. Meet with 50, and survey 500 of them. Pretty damn straightforward, but almost no one does it enough.

"it is difficult and likely impossible to understand your customer too deeply" - @eugenewei
Your users need to understand how to use your product. @Superhuman onboards every user manually to make sure they're successful. It's not complicated, but damn is it a lot of work.
How do you pitch your idea? Well, probably in 5 words or less. It needs to be simple or your pitch won't work anyways. It's not easy compressing your idea down like that though.
Growth? Your channel won't be some crazy complex strategy. Paypal and Uber gave people free money. Dropbox gave people free space. @LambdaSchool and @NotionHQ make their customers ecstatic and get them to share their stories. Really not rocket science.
Most of the features we've built in @readwiseio were things we thought of a year or two ago. The ideas were simple and "obvious", it was the execution that took us months to nail.
You probably know what you have to do; you just don't want to do it. And I don't blame you, it's hard. But it's probably not that complicated.
