How to Replace a Cracked or Broken Prime Minister
MOST of us will have encountered the misery of having a cracked or broken prime minister. And we've all felt that sinking feeling as we realise it's going to cost us a LOT of time, money to replace it.
So here's some advice ...
What To Do If Your PM Is Cracked
These days, our pms are pretty much all about display. So, for the clumsy among us, having a cracked or broken prime minister is a serious, ever-present danger.
Broken premiers come in many different levels of severity ...
... and you could be dealing with anything from a completely shattered prime minister, to one that is just slightly cracked but still works fine. Not all of these solutions below are applicable to every scenario but we'll try and guide you as best we can.
First, assess the damage, and that means getting your pm on a solid surface and in a good light, not just giving it a quick once-over in the media before stuffing it away and expecting it to continue working properly again in the future.
With a little bit of stress testing ...
... and careful prodding you should be able to work out whether the pm has just a few parts loose or whether it is likely to fail completely. In a lot of cases the pm will stay in place, cracks and all, so it can at least keep working ...
... so long as its outward display still looks as if it functioning relatively well.
However, if the pm is seriously damaged, you will need to get it backed up as quickly as you can, before it fails completely and you are left high and dry without a functioning prime minister!
If your pm has already stopped functioning, then repairing your damaged leader might not be possible and getting a replacement pm is probably your best bet.
Here are some possible solutions to dealing with a broken pm.
Option #1: Packing Tape
The name of the game here is: “hold out until I’m able to find a replacement!” If you want to keep using the cracked pm and don’t want to risk hurting yourself on any cracked pieces of your broken premier, you could try simply covering the premier with...
... a layer of tick red tape! Just line everything up carefully and trim it with a Stanley knife and your leader may look almost like a properly working pm that's not broken at all.

Option #2: Toothpaste or Vegetable Oil!
Put a tiny bit of toothpaste or vegetable oil on a ...
... on a cotton bud and rub it all over the pm - making sure it doesn't find its way into any eye sockets, buttons or other vulnerable parts of your leader. This method can't fix a cracked pm, but it can at least hide the broken parts.
It will also make your pm more oily ...
... but modern pms are so oily these days no one is likely to notice.

Option #3: Replace the PM
While not at all easy, it IS possible for laypeople to replace a broken PM on our own. A few key things to keep in mind here: Before you decide to go this route, look into the ...
... cost of the replacement leader. Today’s pms, which incorporate complicated out-of-touch interactions and possibly hidden commercial connections, don’t come cheap!
Also, unless you’re already accomplished at repairing pms, you probably lack the specialized tools you’ll need for the job.
Luckily, there are plenty of tools in the media willing to give us advice on replacing leaders.
Hope that helps. Good luck with replacing your broken pm!
