OK. So there's something quite interesting here.
Is it really possible that @TheSun and @DailyMailUK journalist @thequentinletts doesn't know that Switzerland is in the Schengen zone with the EU?

Look at the number of likes and retweets he's getting, from Brexiters who - unlike him - do not realise that Switzerland is part of the Schengen Area.
He's deliberately stating something on social media that he knows to be untrue. In order to knowingly spread lies.

Why would a journalist deliberately spread untruths? Why would a journalist risk his professional reputation to state an untruth that can so easily be called out?
Answer: because he knows he will NOT be called out on his lies.

He knows he can happily lie to further his proprietors' political aims and his career will not only not be damaged - but will be enhanced.
Because the truth is that his fellow journalists will never take him to task.

Even journalists without a political agenda pretty much NEVER call out their own colleagues for their dishonesty - despite the fact this behaviour is doing deep deep long term damage to their reputation.
