Attorney General William Barr doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. That’s not just because he refuses to commit to releasing the full Mueller report, or because of the questions his memo left unanswered. (2/8) themoscowproject.org/dispatch/barrs…

Of course, defending the president is exactly what he was appointed to do. After all, Trump’s only problem with his predecessor, Jeff Sessions, was that Sessions wouldn’t protect him from Mueller. (5/8) cnn.com/2018/08/25/pol…
Enter Barr who, last June, wrote an unsolicited 19-page memo outlining the same reasoning he apparently used to clear Trump of obstruction of justice last weekend. Trump apparently even considered hiring Barr for his actual legal defense team! (6/8) cnn.com/2019/03/24/pol…
And it’s not just the Mueller investigation: Barr’s been happy to give the DOJ’s imprimatur to some of Trump's other legally questionable decisions, like his racist and likely unconstitutional efforts to build a wall on the southern border. (7/8)
Barr doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. He can start to earn it by releasing the full, unredacted Mueller report and its underlying evidence, so that Congress and the American public an learn the full truth of what Mueller uncovered. (8/8) themoscowproject.org/dispatch/dont-…
