So the NYT has two more Biden stories out this evening. Just want to say one quick thing about that.
In Biden's Sunday statement, he said he believed he had never acted inappropriately, and indicated that the possibility that he had was one he had never contemplated.
In February 2015, though, there was a bunch of press coverage of Biden's habit of violating women's personal space. Op-eds, news stories, YouTube compilations.
Since then, Biden's tendency to put his hands on women has been A Thing. Biden has mentioned it himself, in a joking way, on more than one occasion.
The Lucy Flores incident was in 2014, before that wave of press coverage. The other incident that came out yesterday was in 2009. One of the ones in the Times today was from 2012. But.
"Caitlyn Caruso, a…sexual assault survivor, said Mr. Biden rested his hand on her thigh — even as she squirmed in her seat to show her discomfort — and hugged her 'just a little bit too long' at an event on sexual assault at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. She was 19."
"Ms. Caruso, now 22, said she chalked up the encounter at the time to how men act, and did not say anything publicly."
"But she said it was particularly uncomfortable because she had just shared her own story of sexual assault and had expected Mr. Biden — an architect of the 1994 Violence Against Women Act — to understand the importance of physical boundaries."
She was 19 at the time. She's 22 now. February 2015 was four years ago. And Biden participated in a sexual assault awareness event at UNLV in April 2016. nytimes.com/2019/04/02/us/…

Today's incident, in which a then-19-year-old sexual assault survivor says Biden, who she had never met before, put his hand on her thigh at a sexual assault awareness event, took place fourteen months after that piece ran.
Most of the video and photos that are circulating are from before February 2015. But there's other stuff out there that's more recent, and the more of it that comes out, the worse Biden's Sunday statement looks.
