You might ask: “But since he’s a criminal, why wouldn’t Trump just leave stuff off his tax returns, or lie?” Ah. You’ve missed the point of money laundering.
A clear legal path has to be created for that money, to make it spendable by sanctioned criminals. His JOB is to put that exact stuff on his taxes and make it very clear.
Of course, he’s creating clear path that LOOKS legal (otherwise the returns would get audited and/or deductions struck), but it’s not really legal bc entities are all shell fronts operated by criminals and their cutouts. But experienced folks can break that down in snap.
