NOW: A judge has denied a request to order DOJ to speed up processing a FOIA request for the Mueller report and related documents — the judge found that the plaintiffs, @EPICprivacy, failed to show that they'd suffer irreparable harm right now absent an injunction
US District Judge Reggie Walton heard arguments this a.m. on EPIC's request for a preliminary injunction. The denial means they'll have to wait for AG Barr to release Mueller's report, and the FOIA litigation will proceed from there. Walton set a status hearing for May 2
Barr has been going through the report to decide what should be redacted in the version in the version that they release. In a FOIA case, the filers (i.e. EPIC, and BuzzFeed also has a lawsuit seeking the report) can ask a judge to review any info that's withheld/redacted
Story coming shortly, but one thing of note: At today's hearing, the DOJ lawyer said she did not know exactly when AG Barr plans to release Mueller's report to Congress and the public — so, sadly, no clarity on that front
