Farage: even if May/Corbyn come to a deal it won’t stop him: “if they come to a grubby deal, on a c union, s market, f of movement the forces they’ll unleash will literally explode the 2 main parties. This is is about so much more than brexit now.”

Sounds like he’s here to stay.

“We want to change politics for good. We’ll go on to fight by elections. We’ll go on to fight general elections. We want to change the politics of this country for good! We can be the catalyst to a fundamental change in the way this country is organised and run.”

I’m clear from talking to Farage and his team, they see themselves and will present themselves as the change candidates to a nation humiliated and embarrassed. To transform politics.

It’s a potent message. If Farage seizes the change politics mantle he could be unstoppable.

I have lost count of the numbers of Conservatives here who have told me they will never vote for the party again.

One man tells me:”I voted conservative at the last election. I took my daughters with me to show them the importance of voting. But what a waste of time that was. I should’ve let them play video games or something, would’ve been a better use of their time”

Another man tells me: “these things were always for other people, but now I’m just so pissed off”

Very much got the sense this is a much bigger problem for the Tories than Labour. Room full to the brim of ex Tory voters, not many from the other side.
