Waiting for the #Corbyn speech...
And for those on the Labour left, a bonus Mandelson pin-up 😉
Kudos for early mention of protection of EU27 citizens' rights #CorbynSpeech
The "returned money from Brussels" commitment ignores risk of lower growth and reduced public revenue #CorbynSpeech
No scapegoating migrants, no turning UK nations or generations against each other, protect Good Friday agreement 👏👏👏 #CorbynSpeech
I expect Corbyn's views on food safety here closer to mainstream of public opinion than Hannan's... #CorbynSpeech
Happy to stay linked to EU agencies where it makes sense rather than "jingoistic posturing" 👏👏👏 - mention of Euratom and Erasmus #CorbynSpeech
"New comprehensive EU/UK customs union" - UK would have to have a say - cakeism klaxon? 🍰
Corbyn taking stance against trade deals with USA and China - chimes with points in my earlier thread linked to my first tweet #CorbynSpeech
Now point about privatisation etc - often challenged whether EU law does that - see @GeorgePeretzQC on state aid
On the posted workers directive - EU Council recently agreed changes, talks underway with European Parliament - enough for Corbyn? #CorbynSpeech

Text here: consilium.europa.eu/register/en/co…
Confirms that free movement of people ends - so Daily Mail headline false (surprise!) - but vague on replacement #CorbynSpeech
"It's not migrants that drive down wages - it's bad employers" 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 #CorbynSpeech
Commitment on returning EU powers to devolved governments - issue where Conservative "UK internal market" policy is inconsistent with its policy towards EU #CorbynSpeech
Moving on to human rights, environmental issues, refugees - not all EU points but such a different tone from most Conservative party speeches today 👏👏👏 #CorbynSpeech
For British citizens to achieve their goals "we *are* citizens of the world" - brilliant response to May/Timothy narrow, blinkered concept of national identity in modern world 👏👏👏👏 #CorbynSpeech
A mention for @GeorgePeretzQC in state aid question from @GuardianAnushka 🙄
Answers: Corbyn concerns on RBS state aid deal, water and post competition, nationalising those and rail industry - but does EU law address these concerns already @GeorgePeretzQC?
Second referendum question mentions @OFOCBrexit ...
It's over! Some thoughts:

- much clearer on customs union but what would EU27 say to that? Will they even reply?

- otherwise not much extra clarity on Labour views

- still a compromise between Leave/Remain Labour voters/members - definitely a gesture toward Remainers//
