Last night I wrote this tweetstorm about what to expect from Mueller report. My @Slate editor suggested I expand on the ideas and so I wrote this piece. slate.com/news-and-polit…. But then I see that Salon simply took my tweetstorm and created an article with no original content.
Twitter does not hold copyright in user content, but it does allow others to embed tweets etc. But @Salon did more than that. They quoted and paraphrased to make it look like an article. (salon.com/2019/04/15/11-…). But the article really has no content other than my tweetstorm.
Whether that's a copyright violation I'll have to leave to my IP friends. But it has certainly made me unlikely to write for or give interviews to @salon in the future.
Guess it's even worse since @Salon reposted a @rawstory naked aggregation of my content. rawstory.com/2019/04/11-thi…
