Always knew that this whole #chowkidar thingy was bs and a scam but here is my first hand experience of the double handedness and hypocricy of these so called chowkidar bhakts.

Met a couple of clients for our @MoversQuant product yesterday. Met these 2 businessmen for the first time. As usual the conversation started with outlook on markets and by default the political outcome of the general elections coming up

Turns out these guys were hardcore bhakts that truly believe that bjp is coming back to power and so by default markets are going to the moon. I was like @MoversQuant subscribe kar lo bhai😊

They went all chowkidar on me when i said guys look at the global markets pretty much every risk asset is close to or at new life highs nothing india specific and they were shocked that i didnt attribute the stock market rally to a potential bjp victory. I almost thought

Ye log to signup karne se rahe. Anyway so went through the whole presentation with them and at the end of that one wasted hour they finally ask what its going to cost them to subscribe. I mention our fee % + gst and they look at each other with that wierd smile

Which people give when they are just about to negotiate. So anyway the usual question of who absorbs that monstrous 18% gst number pops. I stand firm since i have to pass it through. After a lot ot back and forth their solution was cash chalega?

So poori duniya ki chowkidari karo but khud pe aaya to chori pehle. Suffice it to say that tag line on the mahim pipeline of who will monitor the watchmen is so damn apt. To all the chowkidars out there please dont be a hypocrite. If you genuinely believe that you are one more

Power to you. We need a good clean system but dont say one thing and do the other because its cool or fits the narrative or trying to conform to whats made out to be a nationalistic pride to be a chowkidar
