2. Just LAST WEEK three Muslim terrorists were sentenced to 8-years in prison for attempting to use gas bombs to destroy the NOTRE DAME Cathedral.

Statistically, mentally ill people are more likely to be victims of violence than commit violence. To reduce gun violence, we must address availability of #guns & complex cultural issues. We can't focus on the molehill when the mountain's right there. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
We also unfairly overburden psychiatric professionals by making them responsible & accountable for preventing gun crime. Gun violence still disproportionately harms communities of color, & our failure to invest in social and physical infrastructure perpetuates the cycle.
Our most common psychiatric diagnoses (depressive, anxiety, & attention-deficit disordres) have no correlation w/violence. While I agree w/having trained mental health professionals in schools, that won't stop gun violence. We must change our culture. #NeverAgain #GunReformNow
