I'm not exaggerating: Jeff Bezos' Wash Post treats only US corporate media outlets as "verified news sources"

The Post, owned by the richest capitalist on Earth (and Amazon has a big CIA contract), wants YouTube to further repress foreign media and act as a mouthpiece for the US
Jeff Bezos' Washington Post is now strongly implying that "Russians" should not be able to use YouTube the same way as everyone else.

Apparently only Americans can fully use YT.

(Also note how the US corporate media never distinguishes Russian civilians from their government.)

Unfortunately @JeremyScahill's claim that @TheIntercept has published "a wide range of voices on" Syria is completely false. 99% of its reporting on Syria has been cartoonishly pro-opposition (sometimes even more so than mainstream corporate media).
An editor of @TheIntercept is a hardcore sectarian who called Shia Muslims "dogs," smears everyone as "Assadists," shared a Salafi rebel propaganda video calling Hezbollah "the party of Satan," cheered at the murder of Qadhafi, & called Chávez a "dictator"
The Intercept collaborates with NED-funded regime-changers at Bellingcat and Qatar's Al Jazeera, and its articles on Syria quote fake "experts" like Charles Lister & fake government-funded opposition "NGOs" like SNHR, while its Twitter account retweets neocons like Michael Weiss.

1) Manning is not a whistleblower. She is a traitor that was convicted under the Espionage Act & endangered countless lives by leaking classified information.

2) Solitary confinement is not torture.

Even if you want to argue that admin segregation is equivalent to solitary confinement, the whole reason she is being put there is clearly because she would be in danger w the general population (not as punishment). The idea that it constitutes torture is baseless nonsense.
AOC is arguing for Manning to just be released as if there is no justifiable reason for her to be held.

Manning is being held for refusing to testify against Assange, who she leaked documents to that outed foreign officials cooperating with America against the Taliban.

Last month, two people, Keith Kosirog & Adonus Encinias, died by suicide in the same New Mexico prison.

Both were being held in solitary confinement, which New Mexico uses at one of the highest rates in the nation & which the UN regards as torture.

This was a state prison, although Mr. Kosirog had been transferred from county jail where he was being held on bail pre-trial.

Suicide is the leading cause of death in county jails, where most people are being held on bail pre-trial.
Let me say that again, because it is so shocking.
