Unfortunately @JeremyScahill's claim that @TheIntercept has published "a wide range of voices on" Syria is completely false. 99% of its reporting on Syria has been cartoonishly pro-opposition (sometimes even more so than mainstream corporate media).
An editor of @TheIntercept is a hardcore sectarian who called Shia Muslims "dogs," smears everyone as "Assadists," shared a Salafi rebel propaganda video calling Hezbollah "the party of Satan," cheered at the murder of Qadhafi, & called Chávez a "dictator"
The Intercept collaborates with NED-funded regime-changers at Bellingcat and Qatar's Al Jazeera, and its articles on Syria quote fake "experts" like Charles Lister & fake government-funded opposition "NGOs" like SNHR, while its Twitter account retweets neocons like Michael Weiss.
To its great shame, The Intercept even published an error-filled screed implying that people who oppose regime change and foreign intervention tearing Syria apart are Nazis (or at least in league with fascists)!

Some of its Syrian opposition propaganda would even make CNN blush.
This must be stressed: @TheIntercept hired as an editor Maryam Saleh, an anti-Shia bigot who calls everyone who opposes US war on Syria "Assadists" & wrote of the "Shia crescent," Iran, & Hezbollah, "May God take revenge against you, you dogs and low-life"
At their 5-year anniversary Brooklyn event, several @TheIntercept staffers made fun of Glenn Greenwald—by far their best journalist

Now Politico has confirmed that colleagues see Glenn's indispensable, *actual fearless, adversarial journalism* as a threat
