Why did it start?

The movement was a response to the political and socioeconomic gains made by African-Americans following the Civil War and the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution, which eliminated slavery.
During Reconstruction, following the U.S. Civil War, black leaders in Texas and around the country gained increasing influence in the Republican Party by organizing blacks as an important voting bloc via Union Leagues and the biracial Black-and-tan faction of the Republicans.

Norris Wright Cuney, the black Texas leader who controlled the state party quickly labeled the insurgents "lily-whites”.

Lily-White Christianity's (that hererical/RACIST strain of western Christianity)bigoted and racist behavior have assisted in turning millions - away - from Christianity.

And, Jesus was so clear about this type of religious behavior that pushed people - away - from the message.

Capitalism/Conservatism all suffer from being hijacked by white-identity politics, and it was one of the main factors for why Marxism spread like wildfire in parts of South America and in Africa.
The Soviets were able to point to - white-racism - to recruit a global army of Marxist- -- white racism and colonialism was used as evidence against The West by The Soviets (Russians) of the moral failure of Capitalism.

It was one of their recruitment tools.
Today, it's also used by atheist. They say to Black people, "Why would you be part of religious denomination that enslaved you -- (using the bible) for over 300 + years?

Black people today deserve reparations. I know this isn't a popular idea, but the case for them is strong, linear and will benefit America.

Typically, the case against reparations is "Well, no former slaves are living today, much less children of slaves. Who would we pay?"

What we forget (*well, what white people forget) is that economic disadvantages didn't end with slavery.
The strongest real economic case for reparations is actually at the end of WWII.

Black soldiers fought and died for our country, but the vast majority of black soldiers couldn't (and didn't) go to school under the Montgomery GI Bill.

Why? Schools were segregated.

impeachment of Warren Hastings on his conduct in India, the American Declaration of Independence comes from Republicanism, in Germany it was the conservative Helmut Kohl helped formulate German reunification, Angela Merkel, let us not forget, is a conservative politician,
in India, everyone from Vivekananda to Aurobindo, from Tilak to Lala Lajpat Rai, would be, if one were to note, placed under the 'conservative' sub-head, as would Thomas Merton, the sublime Trappist monk; of course all of Chicago macroeconomics could be considered 'conservative'

Any object will do. You can surrender to a tree, you can surrender to a river, you can surrender to anything, your wife, your husband, your guru.
Even through stones, people have attained because it is not a question at all to what you #surrender.

You surrender, and that brings the whole thing, that opens the door. Surrendering, the effort to surrender brings an opening to you.
If you are open to stone, you become open to the whole existence, because it is only a question of opening. How can you be open to a stone, and not open to a tree?

Black Hair for Non-Black Artists: a Cheat Sheet Thread.

Hi, folks! Just spur-of-the-moment decided to put together some reference for folks who want to draw/model black characters in their work, but aren't confident they won't make simple, obvious mistakes w/r/t black hair.
Black people can have any hair texture, but what's commonly considered "black hair" is hair that's tightly coiled, with each individual hair shaft looking like a Slinky. These Slinky-hairs interlocking with lots of space between them is what gives black hair so much volume.
The most common convention for classifying hair types (in my experience) is the letter/number one. "black hair" generally rangers from 3A ("good hair") to 4c ("bad hair'). Traditionally, the kinkier/coilier hair was, the "worse" it was. Some older people still hold this standard.

One year ago, @Reince tweeted that the GOP had “a revolutionary data program” resulting in them “carrying WI for first time in 30 years.”

Attached was this article that said these “Data Operations” helped Trump win WI & will used for the 2018 midterms.

Trump won* WI by just 22,748 votes.

200,000+ in WI were unable to vote in 2016.

Along with MI & PA, WI was one of the 3 swing states that gave* the EC to Trump by a scant 78,652 votes.

All 3 States were among the 39 states reported as hacked by Russia.

Exit polls are a scientifically proven litmus test. In 2016, they were off by as high as 10%

Anything above ~2.5% indicates suspect anomalies. It triggers other countries to nullify elections.

In the swing states of MI, PA, & WI—all were all above 3%.
