If you wonder whether Trump knew of Manafort's coordination with the Kremlin—coordination Mueller only couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt because Trump dangled a pardon to Manafort to get him to lie—recall they stayed in touch by phone for MONTHS after Manafort was "fired."
1/ Manafort's coordination involved *months* of providing proprietary internal campaign polling data to the Kremlin, telling the Kremlin which states to focus on—which advice it followed—offering private briefings, and more. Trump later said if Manafort talked, he was in trouble.
2/ All Mueller needed to figure out was if Trump knew what Manafort was doing—a fact seemingly confirmed by Trump telling friends that if Manafort talked, he was toast. But Mueller never figured it out—because Trump engaged Manafort in a "joint defense" deal and floated a pardon.

(1) A House impeachment is just an indictment—the Senate tries the case.
(2) It *never* leads to conviction.

(1) You can't impeach until both parties see proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
(2) There's no point in impeachment unless you can get a conviction.
(3) The impeaching party pays a price (note: Republicans never have).
(4) The sole purpose of it is removal.
FOUR IMPEACHMENT REVELATIONS

(1) You can impeach a president for being a national security threat.
(2) Many of the things you can be impeached for aren't statutory crimes.
(3) Senators can apply any standard of proof they like.
(4) An airing of all the facts would *hurt* Trump.

(THREAD) Let's review the accuracy of Steele's dossier, post-Mueller Report.
(Steele said his raw intel needed processing, and was about 75% accurate.)
If you see people saying the Report discredited Steele, please RETWEET this.
1/ First, let's recall who Christopher Steele is: the former Russia desk chief for MI6, whose Russian sources were considered so well-developed that the MI6 actually tasked Steele with *training other spies*. He'd worked repeatedly—and to great success—with the FBI on past cases.
2/ Steele tried to get the FBI to take the raw intel he had seriously. He gave it to the FBI on his own say-so—no one told him to. He did what he did because he was worried (we now know rightly) about U.S. national security. He went to media only when the FBI buried his research.

That the Mueller Report vindicated the Steele dossier at approximately the percentage Steele adjudged his own raw pre-processed intel to be accurate—about 70%—isn't something one can have an opinion on. It's fact. Don't know what the hell Greenwald and Woodward are talking about.
Steele's intel was *so* good he knew the topic of talks between a top Russian minister and Carter Page; his intel was *so* good he knew the content of talks between Page and Putin lieutenant Sechin; his intel was *so* good he knew of Trump kompromat tapes when only oligarchs did.
Steele *correctly* pegged the roles Manafort, Page, Cohen, Sechin, Lavrov, and others were playing in Trump-Russia contacts. Certain things he wrote—that Russians were *talking* about Cohen being in Prague—were miscast ("Steele says Cohen was in Prague") to falsely discredit him.

2/ Up until this point I gave Bob the benefit of the doubt, but once it became abundantly clear that he wasn't serious about proving the underlying crime, the "DNC Hack", I knew that A) the investigation was a hoax and MOST IMPORTANTLY B) Russia Collusion could never be proven!

The legal term is “conspiracy.”

Spoiler: “No collusion” is one of those lies so outrageous that it works only in totalitarian regimes.
1/ To prove a conspiracy, a prosecutor simply has to show
(1) an agreement between 2 or more persons
(2) to commit a crime, and
(3) an act in furtherance of the crime.
The crime doesn’t have to be committed.

2/ The agreement doesn’t need to be expressly conveyed. Nobody has to say “I agree to commit a crime with you.” The agreement may be implicit or shown by the action of “two or more guilty minds.”
