Hello, bandwagon Avalanche fans!

Since so many of you have hopped on board, we thought we'd give you a few notes on our squad...

We started out the season SUPER hot!

But then we went into a slump. A really bad slump. (We can admit it.) We found ourselves fighting for a spot in the playoffs.

Then we went 8-0-2 to secure our Wild Card spot, clinching in Game 81.

With that clinch, we made the playoffs for consecutive seasons for the first time since 2006.

We beat Calgary in Round One, advancing to Round Two for the first time since 2008.

This is our Head Coach, Jared Bednar, and this is his third season.

He's our first head coach to lead us to back-to-back playoff appearances since 2004.

Also, he's known for being stoic on the bench... And not being able to watch shootouts.

This is our Captain: Gabe Landeskog.

He has been our Captain for seven seasons (and is only 26!).

He's having a career year, setting personal bests in points, goals, assists, GWGs and PPGs! He was voted into the #NHLAllStar Game, too.

On and off the ice, Landy is an incredible leader.

He is always smiling, always tossing pucks to fans and always has great hair.

You probably associate Landeskog with MacKinnon and Rantanen... As you should!

Those three combined for 261 points this season and scored 41% of our goals.

We refer to them as The Top Line, even though they don't always play on the same line.

Let's talk about Mikko Rantanen. He's a goofy, fun-loving guy who has emerged as a POWERHOUSE.

He tallied career highs in points, goals, assists and PPGs and played in his first #NHLAllStar Game.

But he still doesn't know how to tie a tie.

Oh, also: Mikko is ALWAYS sticking his tongue out.

You've probably heard of Nathan MacKinnon.
Well, watching him play lives up to the hype.

He followed up a Hart Trophy finalist season last year by setting career highs in points, goals, assists and shots... and being named to his third-straight #NHLAllStar Game.

Nathan MacKinnon a BEAST.

And he's reached another level in the playoffs.

This is Erik Johnson. You might not recognize him because he hates the camera.

But he loves blocking shots, being a troublemaker and has the best hockey smile.

Speaking of hockey smiles, Ian Cole has a great one, too...

But he has a better playoff beard!
(He's been working on it all season long.)

Since we're discussing defenseman, Tyson Barrie broke a ton of Avs records this season and is now our best offensive defenseman of all time.

He's also best friends with Nate.

Tyson Barrie and Tyson Jost share #TysonTuesday, which is (unofficially) our fans' favorite day of the week.

They all love the camera and are a whole lot of fun.

Speaking of people who love the camera, nobody loves it more than our menacing defenseman Nikita Zadorov.

Big Z, as he is called (yes,we know there's another Big Z), dresses well, entertains the crowd, and is an absolute menace to everyone.

Here is a perfect example...

The kid he's being a menace towards here is Cale Makar.

He was our 4th overall pick in 2017, won the Hobey Baker with UMass, made his NHL debut in Game Three and scored the game-winning goal.

Not bad, right? #GoAvsGo

Speaking of not too bad (great transition there, we know), Philipp Grubauer has STEPPED UP between the pipes for us.

You can call him Grubi, Grub or Gru.

Honestly, we could go on and on about ALL of our players... but we'll let you follow along and learn for yourself.

Oh, wait, one last thing: we do pom poms for playoffs. It is our tradition and we are not going to change.
